On Sunday 6th December, the Penny Waterman School of Dance put on 3 performances of their “Christmas Spectacular” in celebration of their 30 years of teaching dance at the Harpenden Public Halls.
Children from age 3 and adults from local areas performed Ballet, Tap, Disco/Jazz, Street Jazz/Hip Hop and Cheerleading numbers, all with Christmas themes.
Everyone had another opportunity to see the routines performed by the adult tappers and boys & girls who performed at the Christmas “switching on of the lights” in St Albans town centre.
The displays were a huge success and the all performers had a wonderful day. The audience showed their appreciation to all with extended clapping and whistling.
A special guest, the Mayor of Harpenden, Rosemary Farmer attended in all her finery, much to the delight of the children and had a wonderful afternoon.
The display ended with the children singing “We Wish you a Merry Christmas” followed by teas, coffees and mince pies.
